Company History
Sky Hook Services, formerly Sky Hook Rig Supply, was originally founded in 2012 as a capital equipment sales company offering new, used and fabricated-to-spec equipment to the Gulf Coast and Marcellus Shale Operators and Service Companies. In 2013, the company entered the equipment rental market with its newly designed Clear Sky Clarifier Tank. This design was a proven success in the Marcellus Shale, working with Baker Hughes in their produced water division.
After the success in Ohio and Pennsylvania, Sky Hook entered the Permian Basin with its design. Tanks were rented to several water service companies for the next two years. In 2014, after the drop in the price of oil and subsequent downturn in GOM and Marcellus, Sky Hook reformed as a Texas LLC. Concentrating on the Permian Basin, all assets were moved to Midland, TX where an office and yard were opened.
Seeing opportunity in Solids Control as well as Produced Water Treatment, the company’s ownership gathered a team of seasoned Solids Control professionals and began offering our equipment and service to Permian operators. Our ownership and staff bring over 100 years of combined solids control experience to our clients.
In 2019, Sky Hook Rig Supply, LLC dba Sky Hook Services is a Midland based, Texas LLC servicing Operators in the Wolfcamp, Delaware, Midland, and Pecos regions.
